‘The Boys’ actor Tomer Capone caught in controversy


Israeli actor Tomer Capone, best known for his role as Frenchie in the television series The boysis receiving renewed attention online after a 2016 interview about his military service resurfaced on social media.

In the interview with Israeli outlet Ynet, Capone spoke about serving in the Israel Defense Forces (IDF) Paratrooper Brigade as a combat soldier and later as a commander.

He described the first period of his service as intense and emotionally complex, reflecting long deployments, close bonds between soldiers and challenging operational conditions.

Capone reportedly discussed participating in night raids, checkpoints, and encounters with civilians, acknowledging moments of tension, confusion, and what he characterized as operational “chaos.”

The resurfaced comments have sparked debate online as the actor’s global profile has grown, with some users questioning whether Amazon should respond.

Neither Capone nor Amazon have commented publicly on the renewed attention.
