Karl Urban, best known for his portrayal of Billy Butcher in The Boys, returns to his brash attitude on social media with a playful throwback.
With a photo of himself in the background of a cheeseburger, fries and a drink, he writes: “Five guys. When you know, you know and yes, I have teleported.”
It slyly nods to the actor’s viral interview with The Hook in 2016, suggesting he still remembers the chaos clearly.
The iconic blooper turned comedy gold when host Jahannah James – in her own way – asked a simple question to Urban and his co-star John Cho, who were promoting Star Trek Beyond at the time.
“If you could set up a teleport from one place to another, where would it be?” she asked, adding an American fast food chain to the question. “Like your bed for Five Guys or…which would you choose?”
Urban, a New Zealander, and Cho, from South Korea, seemed unfamiliar with the restaurant, which threw the moment into disarray.
“I’m sorry?” The Boys star asked for clarity. “Our bed, for five boys?”
His co-star, who was also unaware of the hamburger chain, asked the same question: “What is a Five Guys?”
James replied in a fit of confusion, “Is it like a hamburger joint?”
Immediately, the pair backed away in panic, turning the awkward back-and-forth into a viral moment.
“Whatever you’re into,” the 53-year-old said hilariously, adding, “If that’s what you’re into, that’s cool. That’s impressive.”
Now, ten years later, Urban is reliving one of his funniest moments as the first two episodes of his critically acclaimed show The Boys’ final season have dropped on Prime Video.
