The Osbournes break the silence with an emotional Grammy tribute to Ozzy

Ozzy Osbourne’s family paid an emotional tribute to the late rock legend on Friday as they announced the 2026 Grammy nominations.

Sharon, Kelly and Jack Osbourne appeared together to announce the nominees for Best Rock Album and Best Metal Performance, two categories that held a special place in Ozzy’s heart.

The Black Sabbath frontman died of heart failure at his home in Buckinghamshire in July at the age of 76, just weeks after his final concert in Birmingham.

Sharon started by saying, “Hello, we are the Osbournes and music has always been the center of our lives. Today we are so proud to present Ozzy.”

Kelly added that it warmed their hearts to pay tribute to their father, while Jack said: “Our dad has won Grammys in both categories, so they are particularly special to us.”

Sharon also recalled how happy Ozzy was when his latest album Patient Number 9 was nominated and later won.

“He was really honored,” she said with a smile.

The nominations for Best Rock Album include Private music, I’m quitting, starting from scratch And Never enough.

The contenders for Best Metal Performance are Night terror, Lachryma, Rise, Soft spine and birds.

For the unfamiliar: Ozzy last won two Grammys in 2023 for Best Rock Album and Best Rock Performance.

Although he was unable to attend due to health issues, his team accepted the trophies and shared his signature message: “I love you all and f*** off.”

The 68th annual Grammy Awards will take place on February 1, 2026 in Los Angeles.
