Singer-songwriter Ed Sheeran has touched the heart like no other and that’s because he had just gotten honest about the fact that he wanted to be a father again, and that too to a little girl, no less.
What is pertinent to mention is that Ed is already a father to two daughters, 5-year-old Lyra Antarctica Seaborn Sheeran and Jupiter Seaborn Sheeran, who is three.
According to the Daily star he started this confession by saying, “I don’t know, I think maybe I want another girl. They’re so much fun, it goes up and down, when they have tantrums it’s real! They’re so old they seem cooped up. When you have them close together, like it was chaotic, it’s so good because they play together, they take baths together and they go to school together, everything is cooped up.”
As for whether his eldest already knows that her father is a singer, the songwriter said: “Your eldest (know I’m Ed Sheeran) it’s because she goes to school. She comes to shows, she likes my music. She was in school and older kids – like 11 or 12 years old – gave her notes to give to me at home. She was four at the time. It was a bit (a lot). I’m trying to normalize it.”
A little later in the conversation, he also emphasized all the effort he makes to ensure that his daughters lead as normal a life as possible. To that end, his daughter would understand the concept of fans: “When I’m with them, I’ll say no to pictures, because one time I was at Lyra’s very early and someone asked for a selfie and while it was being taken, she fell over. I’m like, ‘I’m not a father here’. So now it’s a general no. People usually get it, sometimes people can be rude. But it’s much more important that I’m a father to my daughter than a pop star to anyone else.”
Before signing off, he also said that “even his daughter has noticed it and knows that if her father is with her, his answer will be no because “she doesn’t say pictures to people now, if someone comes over, she will say it immediately.”
