Tia Mowry is clearing the air after rumors of a ‘breakup’ with her twin sister, Tamera Mowry-Housley.
In a recent conversation with ANDTia, who shared the screen with her twin sister on the ABC hit sitcom Sister, sisteropened up about where her bond with Tamera is now.
“She’s just not as accessible as she used to be,” Tia told the outlet.
“I think everyone thought there was a huge gap or distance, and there wasn’t. So it was new to everyone else, but it wasn’t new to us.”
Tia noted that “family is very important to” her and her twin sister, and it is always a priority.
The My Secret Santa actress shared how they made a rule to reach out at least once a week.
“My sister and I have agreed that we will contact each other once a week, and that will be on Sunday,” Tia said.
“Sometimes it’s just, you know, a text. But as long as we check in and talk to each other, you know, that’s what we do. You know, [but] the world doesn’t know we do that,” she added.
This came after Tia confessed on her WeTV reality show My Next Act a year later that she “wished” they were “still close.”
For those unfamiliar, the popular sitcom from the 45-year-old identical twins ran for six seasons from 1994 to 1999.
