Tiffany Haddish reunites with her social worker: ‘You saved my life’

Tiffany Haddish reunited with her social worker, Coleta Lewis, during her recent stand-up comedy show.

A moving Instagram video on the 46-year-old American comedian and actress’s official account shows her being swept away by emotions after her social worker Lewis surprised her in the audience during her recent stand-up show.

Below the clip of her touching reunion, Haddish wrote a caption that read, “Holiday reunion with my social worker. Thank you, Coleta, for everything.”

The show captured a moment when The LEGO Movie 2 The star was standing on stage looking at the audience when Lewis said: “I don’t know if you remember me, my name is Coleta Lewis.”

Haddish said: “Coleta was my second social worker and [in school] …I got into all this trouble, talking too much and s****, and she said, ‘You have two choices this summer, you can go to the Laugh Factory Comedy camp or you can go to psychiatric therapy…’

“And I was winning all these drama festivals and I said, ‘Who’s got drugs?’ And you said, ‘You don’t do drugs, you go to therapy.’ So I went to comedy camp… that changed my whole life,” she recalls.
