Kevin Kisner reveals Tiger Woods was preparing for a comeback before shocking crash and arrest

A day earlier, Tiger Woods’ car accident, followed by his arrest on suspicion of driving under the influence, made worldwide headlines.

The arrest of the 15-time gold champion caused concern among his huge fan base and close colleagues and friends.

Kevin Kisner, the golf icon’s teammate, is among those who have expressed concerns about the sporting giant.

Speaking to NBC, the 42-year-old spoke out about the incident and said Wood had been training hard for a while for a comeback in the US Senior Open and possibly The Masters later.

Now, however, the dream of a splashy return is being shaken at best.

“Very disturbing,” says the star, adding: “He was really working hard on his game, trying to practice and get back into shape. He signed up for the US Senior Open yesterday.”

“He tried to do everything he could to come back and help our TGL team prepare and hopefully play the Masters.”

“It’s just a very unfortunate incident, I think, Brad; the only positive is that no one was injured in the incident and we can all move on and hopefully help him get better.”

Kisner and Woods played under Jupiter Links – a golf club founded by the latter – in the TGL final three days before the accident.

Meanwhile, the shocking car crash occurred on Florida Road as Woods was reportedly driving erratically just before his vehicle passed another, causing his SUV to flip.

Fortunately, Woods remains unharmed. But after the heartbreaking moment, officers arrived on the scene and asked for a urine test – to determine if he was under the influence – which the golf icon refused twice.

This prompted authorities to handcuff him, suspecting he may have been driving under the influence, and also charged him with property damage and refusal to obey authorities.
