Tiger Woods ‘commits’ to getting better after DUI arrest

The latest alleged DUI incident was a blow to Tiger Woods, who was looking to return to the golf arena.

Now a source offers insight into his thinking following his shocking arrest.

“Tiger can be defensive at times, but he was embarrassed in the last accident,” the insider told People.

“He wants to solve his problems. There is no one who is more interested in seeing Tiger come out on top again than Tiger. He does not deal well with defeats and embarrassing public situations.”

But “he is now determined to get better, no matter how long that takes.”

When the arrest was made, police revealed that hydrocodone pills had been found in the golf legend’s pockets.

Additionally, authorities have observed signs of impairment, including “bloodshot and glassy” eyes and “extremely dilated” pupils.

Bodycam footage reportedly showed Woods with multiple hiccups and signs of discomfort on his face.

To be sure, the police administered a breath test, which he passed. To be sure, the authorities asked for a urine test, but he refused.

In response, police charged him, in addition to drunk driving, with property damage and refusing to obey orders.

Later, Woods released a statement announcing that he would take some time to seek treatment and leave the sport.

“I am taking some time away to seek treatment and focus on my health. This is necessary in order to prioritize my well-being and work towards sustainable recovery.”

“I am committed to taking the time necessary to return to a healthier, stronger and more focused place, both personally and professionally,” he added.

“I appreciate your understanding and support and ask for privacy for my family, loved ones and myself at this time,” Woods concluded.
