The 2026 Grammy Awards are over. Trevor Noah, who hosted the ceremony, made several jokes. However, there was one joke that left a powerful man confused.
He was Donald Trump, the 47th American president.
In a post on Truth Social, where he usually shares his hot takes and policy decisions, he calls out the comedian for his comments linking him to sex offender Jeffrey Epstein.
“The Grammy Awards are the WORST, virtually unwatchable! CBS is fortunate that this garbage is no longer on the air. The host, Trevor Noah, whoever he is, is almost as bad as Jimmy Kimmel at the Low Ratings Academy Awards,” he wrote, slamming the network CBS, which aired both the 68th Annual Grammy Awards, and the host.
The US president also fired back at Noah for joking about wanting to hang out on the infamous Epstein Island.
“Noah INCORRECTLY said about me that Donald Trump and Bill Clinton spent time on Epstein Island. WRONG!!! I can’t speak for Bill, but I have never been to Epstein Island or anywhere near it, and until tonight’s false and defamatory statement, I have never been accused of being there, not even by the Fake News Media.”
At the end, Trump threatens to sue Noah for his comment, writing, “Noah, a total loser, better get his facts straight, and get them straight quick. Looks like I’m going to send my lawyers to sue this poor, pathetic, talentless, dope of an MC and sue him for big bucks.”

Here’s the joke Noah made, which sparked an angry response from Trump.
“Song of the Year – that’s a Grammy every artist wants almost as much as Trump wants Greenland, which makes sense because Epstein’s island is gone, he needs a new one to deal with Bill Clinton.”
