Miley Cyrus’ fiancé Maxx Morando has been a calming force in her life as she quit drinking and got sober.
Miley and Maxx recently announced their engagement at the premiere of Avatar: Fire and Ash. The Hannah Montana star showed off a chunky gold ring with a cushion-cut diamond on the red carpet.
The singer has been talking about it in interviews ever since.
Sources provide more insight into the couple’s dynamic, noting that Maxx’s calm presence is good for the relationship Flowers hitmaker, who has left alcohol and marijuana behind and has become sober.
“He’s very calm – he’s always been that way. He’s fun and silly – just a sweetheart,” said a source close to Morando. Page six.

Speaking to ABC News, Miley revealed that Maxx managed to surprise her with the proposal.
“I’m not easy to surprise, because I like to be in control of every situation. And I had completely surrendered,” she said.
“It’s very clear how much growth I’ve had in those four years… and a lot of that is because I have a great partner,” the 33-year-old admitted.
