Victor Alli has opened up about his character’s sweet gesture towards his wife.
In a new confessional with SchondalandAlli was asked about his character’s speech in episode four about getting closer to his wife Francesca, played by Hannah Dodd.
Wondering if it also felt a bit like a foreshadowing of his death, he replied, “You don’t expect these things as a character.”
He noted that his character was completely unaware of his hindering fate.
“For example, John doesn’t know when he’s going to die. So when I played this character, even though as an actor I knew that the character is going to die eventually, I wanted to make sure that he was present in all the scenes and that everything he says doesn’t anticipate anything else.”
“It’s like, ‘We’re here; we have all the time in the world.’ And he meant it,” he added.
“He wants to make this life great for them and have a family, and so yeah, I think he’s very present in everything at all times,” he concluded, emphasizing John’s simple, noble intentions.
