Victoria Beckham describes her struggle with ‘problematic skin’

Victoria Beckham recently opened up about her past struggles with problematic skin.

The fashion designer confessed that she used make-up as a ‘mask’ to hide her skin problem, especially during her Spice Girls period between 1994 and 2000.

Victoria shared a clip from her untitled Netflix docuseries on her Instagram on October 21.

The businesswoman shared details about her love for makeup, revealing that it’s something she’s been interested in since she was “really little.”

“I’ve been obsessed with makeup since I was a kid. Every day I would go to school and they would immediately send me to the bathroom to take off my makeup,” the 50-year-old recalls.

Victoria said she had “very problematic skin, I remember times when I didn’t have the confidence to look someone in the eye. I suppose I used it as a mask”.

“Ever since I can remember, I collected products I liked, products that were discontinued, small samples of lipsticks that makeup artists mixed for me because we couldn’t find the perfect color,” explains the fashion designer.

But now that she’s working on her beauty business, Victoria said, “I can be obsessed with anything.”

Victoria had previously spoken about her insecurities about her ‘problematic’ skin, having suffered from acne during her teenage years.

Earlier in 2024, Victoria said in an interview with The Telegraph that she sought advice from skincare experts for her skin problem.

But now she follows a strict routine to ensure her skin stays clear.
