George Clooney has been single for a long time since his first marriage to Talia Balsam ended after just four years.
But since Amal Clooney, a human rights activist, came into his life in 2013, his views on married life have changed, says Cindy Crawford, part of the actor’s inner circle.
“When I first met George, he was kind of an eternal bachelor, right?” the Fair Game star told People. “He would never marry.”
‘And when he met Amal and realized she was the one, they suddenly started talking about children. And so it was fun to see [that] …It just took a little longer than the rest of us, but now he’s a full-fledged father and husband. He’s great.”
Years later, George and Amal are considered a power couple in Hollywood. But the couple have spoken out about not wanting to raise their children in the spotlight.
“I worried about raising our children in LA, in the culture of Hollywood. I felt like they would never get a fair chance in life,” he previously said. E! News.
So as a solution, the couple bought a farm in France.
“France, they don’t care about fame. I don’t want them walking around worrying about paparazzi. I don’t want them to be compared to someone else’s famous children.”
George and Amal have been married since 2014. The couple shares two children.
