Morgan Evens tries to find ‘hope’ and focus on ‘positive things’ after the divorce.
In a recent conversation on SiriusXM’s “The Highway” with Cody Alans, the Australian country star opened up about life after his divorce from ex-wife Kelsea Ballerini in 2022.
When the singer appeared on the show to promote his new album ‘Steel Town’, he reflected on his journey after his divorce.
Morgan began, “It’s a horrible thing for anyone to have to go through, and I wouldn’t wish it on anyone, but I guess like everything, life goes on.”
He further explained, “You know, ‘I think you’re going to look back on this and you’re going to be so grateful for every second of it. When you’re in it, it doesn’t feel like that at all. It kind of feels like an eye-rolling kind of, ‘Of course you would say that,’ but man, I’m so grateful for where I am in life right now.”
Morgan expressed his gratitude for “the way everything turned out” that got him to where he is today. “So all that advice is actually correct,” he noted.
“You find a new kind of strength within yourself, new resilience, and I think you also really discover who your real friends are and who are the real, genuine people that you have in your life,” the musician added. “I feel like these are the most important parts of life.”
