Actor Zachery Ty Bryan has been sentenced to 16 months in prison following a DUI arrest in California.
According to court records obtained by PEOPLE, the former Home Improvement actor pleaded guilty to a misdemeanor charge of driving under the influence in connection with his February 2024 arrest in La Quinta. Bryan also admitted that there was an improvement related to having two prior DUI convictions.
He was reinstated on February 23 and reached a settlement with prosecutors. In addition to the 16-month prison sentence, Bryan was denied probation. With a 57-day prison sentence, he is expected to serve just over 14 months.
Bryan is also scheduled to appear March 2 in Lane County, Oregon, for a hearing on a probation violation related to a 2023 domestic violence conviction.
PEOPLE reported that Bryan previously pleaded guilty in October 2023 to “felony of the fourth degree constituting domestic violence.”
According to KEZI, he later admitted to violating his probation.
Bryan has faced several legal problems in recent years. His lawyer did not immediately respond to requests for comment.
