Zayn Malik debuts four unreleased songs at Vegas residency premiere


Zayn Malik has kicked off the first of his seven residency shows in Las Vegas with a mix of old favorites, new songs and four previously unreleased tracks.

The 33-year-old singer teased the new material early in the show at Dolby Live at Park MGM, promising fans a glimpse of his upcoming record.

“I’ve been in the studio for a while, I’ve got a new record for you guys pretty soon now. I’m really excited about that, and obviously tonight we’re going to play you guys some new songs that you’ve never heard before,” he teased early on.

Malik started by opening a blue military jacket with gold epaulettes She from his debut album Ghost of me. He then switched to an emotional segment, featuring fan favorites such as Scripted And I’ve been lied to where the lyrics appear on large screens around the stage.

“We are ready to suppress the atmosphere for a moment, to become emotional, deep in our feelings,” said the Boundaries Singer said.

During a featured performance by It’s youFans lit up the room with phone flashlights. Malik described the residency as surreal, saying, “It still feels a bit like a dream to me.”

The show kept it simple and focused on Malik and his band of eight women. He successfully delivered on his promise of new music with unreleased songs Used to the Blues, Die for me, FatalAnd Take turns. He also performed Drunk from his debut album live for the first time. He clarified that although the song is known, it had not been performed before.

The residency comes after Malik’s recovery from a two-week sinus infection, during which he drank tea between songs and thanked fans for their patience with his slightly dry voice.

The residency marks Malik as the first One Direction member to headline a show in Vegas, less than two years after releasing his fourth studio album, Room under the stairsand completing his first solo tour, which was partially rescheduled following the death of Liam Payne in October 2024.
