Zayn Malik makes surprising move towards One Direction reunion

Zayn Malik, who left One Direction in 2015, shared an update on his position with his former bandmates, Louis Tomlinson, Niall Horan and Harry Styles.

As he prepares to kick off his debut Las Vegas residency in January, the Dusk to dawn crooner took his first step towards reuniting with the band after ten years.

According to The sunthe Pillow talk hitmaker is once again named as “Active Director” in band company PPM Music Limited. The role he had ended on June 20, 2016.

Speaking to the outlet, a music source said: “This is a huge moment. While it’s heartbreaking that Liam’s passing brought them together, it’s even sadder that he was the biggest cheerleader of a reunion.”

The insider continued: “PPM was the original company they set up when they won the show. The name stands for Princess Park Manor, the private gated complex they moved into when they won the show.”

The tipster also shared a surprising fact, adding, “Since Liam passed away, the boys have been in touch.”

While this is a huge step toward mending the strained relationship with his former bandmates, Malik will also reunite with Tomlinson in a Netflix road trip series expected to debut in 2026.

The pair were spotted together earlier this year and Tomlinson was asked about rumors of them working on something together.

“I heard that,” he said. ‘I thought that was quite interesting, yes… Quite astute. I guess they’ll just have to wait and see.’

The documentary and reunion come after the death of Liam Payne, who died after falling from a third-floor hotel room in Argentina. His untimely death apparently brought estranged band members together.
