Zendaya feels “very grateful” to be part of the Dune franchise.
The 29-year-old actress has appeared in all three of Chani’s roles Dune films, and admits it has been a big part of her life in recent years.
The actress, who stars in the new film alongside Robert Pattinson, Anya Taylor-Joy and Javier Bardem, said PEOPLE magazine: “I’m so excited. I mean, this movie, or these movies, have meant so much to me over the years.”
“I literally grew up with them in my 20s, and so they have such a special place in my heart, and so do all these people. So I’m very excited and very grateful to be a part of it,” she added.
Zendaya was also excited about Florence Pugh’s role in Dune: part three and gave us some insights into what to expect.
She said: “I want to start by saying I love Florence Pugh. So talented, so amazing in this role. And we said last time [we did a] press tour, we only had one scene together and we were far away. And I thought, ‘I hope we get more.’”
“So I don’t want to tease anything, but she is absolutely phenomenal. And you guys are just going to have to see for yourselves what happens because it’s quite a journey,” Zendaya concluded.
