Zooey Dechanel opened up about her “amazing” co-parenting dynamic with ex-husband Jacob Pechenik.
The New girl actress recently spoke about the bond between her fiancé, Jonathan Scott, and former partner Jacob Pechenik during the December 16 episode of Call her daddy.
Zooey, who shares daughter Elsie, 10, and eight-year-old son Charlie with Jacob, said the bond with her children’s father is “amazing,” noting, “Because the father of my children is an amazing father.”
The 45-year-old actress also revealed that she even shares a group chat with Jonathan and Jacob.
“I always want to support him as a parent,” noted Zooey, who tied the knot with Jacon in 2015 and split in 2020.
The proud mom went on to say, “My kids thrive when they know we all care about each other. We hang out and we’ve been on vacation together. We’ve been through a lot.”
It happen star talked about the key aspects that helped Zooey and Jacon maintain a healthy co-parenting relationship after their divorce.
“You need to let go of any anger you feel,” she admitted. “I know that sounds difficult, but it’s actually quite simple. The most important thing is that the children are happy and that they are doing well.”
She added. “I respect his opinion and his position as a parent. It’s not always the same as mine, but he respects mine.”
