Denise Richards is reportedly seething with anger after the court ordered her to pay a huge amount of money to her estranged husband Aaron Phypers during their ongoing divorce.
For those unaware, after six years of marriage, Phypers filed for divorce, citing irreconcilable differences. The couple did not welcome their children into their relationship.
According to Radar Online, a judge has asked Richards to temporarily support her estranged husband by paying him as much as $5,000 a month in spousal support until their divorce is finalized.
She has also been ordered to pay $10,000 for March, April and May to help him pay his attorney fees and other costs.
An insider told the outlet: “Denise never thought she would be the one writing monthly checks – she is sick of this.”
The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills star believes that “the system and the ruling are completely unfair and she is now terrified that Phypers could get even more the next time they go to court” due to his financial situation.
“Aaron rubs this in her face and taunts her, bragging about how he’s going to get a lot more, that she owes him and he’s going to make her pay,” the source revealed.
Notably, Richards really wants to fight him, but any fight with him at this crucial point could be “an absolute disaster for her bank account because she could easily find herself on the hook for [more] also legal costs,” said the insider.
The Starship Troopers actress’s inner circle forces her to meditate to calm herself down, but she “doesn’t want to hear about it though – she’s very righteous about it and doesn’t want to pay him a dime,” the source said.
“After everything she’s done for him, she can’t believe she now has to pay him, a grown, healthy man, $60,000 a year to leave,” the insider concluded.
