Succession star Brian Cox has made a surprising revelation about his marriage.
In an interview with The times, the actor claimed that the secret of his successful marriage is living apart.
Brian said, “By keeping things separate, we are responsible for our own mess.”
She added, “It’s that simple. Her space is very important to her, and my space is very important to me. I think when we get together, we feel trapped together, and that’s not a good creative relationship.”
“You should be free,” added the actor, who married Nicole Ansari-Cox in 2002.
Brian and Nicole have separate homes in London that are just minutes away from each other, along with their individual spaces in their American homes. “Nicole gave up a lot for me. It was hard for her, but she gave up a lot, and I think she should be honored,” Brian said.
Additionally, Brian Cox also cited relationship therapy as a key factor in maintaining their bond. He acknowledged that Nicole Ansari-Cox made sacrifices during their relationship.
It is pertinent to mention that the couple, who have two sons together, are soon approaching their 25th wedding anniversary.
