Jennifer Lopez has nothing but praise for Brett Goldstein as she opened up about her on-set chemistry with her Office romance co-star.
In a recent conversation with People during the Netflix Upfront in New York City, the multi-hyphenate revealed that she and the Ted Lasso star developed “amazing” chemistry from the start.
The Atlas actress gushed, “We had great chemistry in the beginning. It just grew as we made the movie together.”
Lopez then said that Goldstein has “a completely different” personality than what she previously expected from him: “I expected more from a rough guy, but you get a kind, gentle but also very smart person who is so charming. That was a surprise, I think.”
The Marry me alum continued, “I was a big fan of his because he played Ted Lasso. Roy Kent, that’s one of my favorite characters.”
She further praised, “I thought he would be more like the character, but he was so gentle and sweet and completely different.”
The Office romance tells the story of a CEO named Jackie Cruz, played by Lopez, who falls in love with her newly hired employee named Daniel Blanchflower, played by Goldstein. As love blossomed between them, they decided to “stop playing by the rules and start following their hearts.”
The film, co-written by Goldstein and Joe Kelly, will be available on Netflix on June 5.
