Elsewhere in the interview, the actress reflects on trolls who attacked her for her comments.

She reflected on the toxic obsession associated with women’s bodies on the internet.

“Just existing as a woman in that space is something that people comment on,” she said in March.

“We feel very comfortable with this strange ownership of women’s bodies,” the actress said Vanity fair at the time.

Shortly after her comments, a wave of criticism began.

Reflecting on the trolls’ outrage, Alcock says: “I didn’t even say ‘men’ – I said ‘people!’”

She continues, “And they got so angry. I was like, ‘You’re proving my point. You’re proving my point!'”

The House of the Dragon breakout star points out that most of the criticism came from trolls who are faceless.

“And it’s from a lot of people whose profiles don’t have a photo that are burner accounts.”

“Or someone’s name and then ‘Dad of four, Christian’, I think that’s hilarious.”

“But I mean, whose opinion do you actually care about?” she adds.

“If you piss off the right kind of people, you’re doing it right,” Alcock concludes.

Great girl hits theaters on June 26.
