Netflix releases the trailer for ‘Michael Jackson: The Verdict’

As a Michael Jackson biopic hits theaters worldwide, Netflix has released an explosive trailer spotlighting the megastar’s stressful days.

It is about the much-discussed Michael Jackson trial from 2005.

The three-part docuseries is titled Michael Jackson: The Verdict.

It will be released on June 3.

Why did we make the Michael Jackson docuseries?

Nick Green serves as director and Fiona Stourton as executive producer.

In a conversation with Tudum, the filmmakers explained why they made the documentary.

“It felt like the right time to revisit the process and the lingering questions.”

“It’s been 20 years since Michael Jackson’s trial where he was found not guilty,” the creators continued.

“It was time to take a forensic look at the process as a whole.”

Although the superstar was acquitted of all charges. However, the ghosts of the trial never left Jackson.

Not even after his death in 2009.

‘What timing!’

What many viewers noticed, however, is the timing of the trailer.

Michael – starring Jaafar Jackson – is inching closer to reaching the coveted $1 billion mark at the box office.

Social media users can’t help but notice the striking coincidence.

“Actually releasing this while Michael is still playing in theaters,” one social media user wrote.
