Anne Hathaway has finally responded to the ‘disturbing’ rumor about herself.
In a new interview with Ellethe 43-year-old actress made it clear whether or not she has undergone plastic surgery.
“We’re in a time where people have a lot of confidence in assuming what they think is fact, and what they think is sometimes right and sometimes it’s not,” Anna replied when asked if her tutorial for getting a lifted look through a certain braided hairstyle was her way of quelling speculation.
“The speculation has gotten so loud that you feel the need to just put your truth out there,” the actress continued. “And I’ll probably always wonder, ‘Should I have posted that or not? Should I have just gone ahead and done what makes me happy and makes me feel more confident on the red carpet?’ But I felt like the conversation was getting distracting.”
“By the way, these are huge medical decisions that people are assuming,” added the Devil wears Prada star. “I wanted to show that I didn’t make a big medical decision. It’s just two braids.”
“By the way, the other thing about all this is that I might still get a facelift one day,” Anna admitted.
Elsewhere in the interview the Interstellar star also reflected on how she handled criticism early in her career.
“One of the things about the younger me is that she was really scared, and I think that fear made me hard on myself,” she said.
“I shudder to think that I might have been unintentionally harsh on other people when I was harsh on myself. I actually feel sick thinking about it,” Anna added.
