Kathy Griffin has shared an important update on her health.
On Thursday, the 65-year-old comedian revealed on her Instagram account that she had spent the night in the hospital after a routine medical procedure.
“I spent the night in the hospital because I had complications from my colonoscopy,” Kathy wrote.
While the Fashion police actress did not elaborate on why she underwent the procedure, assuring her fans that she was doing fine.
“I know, I know, very sexy, but I’m home now with the dogs where I belong,” she added.
As she shared the news, Kathy’s fans rushed to the comments section of the post to send their well wishes.
“Feel better soon!” wrote one, while another commented: ‘All that matters is that you are better and home!’ Keep resting.”
“Wishing you a speedy recovery,” chimed in a third.
‘I’m glad you’re home now. Get better soon,” wrote a fourth.
According to the Mayo Clinic, a colonoscopy is “an examination of the lining of your large intestine (colon). It is useful for diagnosing gastrointestinal diseases, such as inflammatory bowel disease and colon cancer. It may also help treat and prevent colon cancer.”
