Whereabouts of Katie Price’s husband Lee Andrews confirmed by his father

Katie Price’s husband Lee Andrews is reportedly being held in prison in Dubai, his father claims days after his disappearance.

While the model feared something serious had happened to her husband, which she had not heard from since last week, her father-in-law, Peter, has now confirmed that his son is alive and currently under arrest in the UAE.

Speak with Daily mailPeter said he believes Lee is being held by authorities in Dubai, although he does not know the exact reason.

“Lee is okay. He has not been kidnapped, but he is under arrest,” Peter reportedly said. He added that he was unsure where his son was being held but expected to hear from him later in the day.

Katie, 47, married Dubai-based businessman Lee Andrews earlier this year, just days after meeting him in person for the first time. Their relationship has already faced public criticism, including concerns about Andrews’ academic claims after the University of Cambridge reportedly disputed his statement that he had obtained his PhD there.

Before the reported arrest, Andrews was due to board a flight from Dubai to Britain, where he was expected to appear on Good Morning Britain with Katie. Katie later claimed that authorities in Dubai were unable to locate him in any police station or prison.

She previously said detectives in Dubai had tried to find him but there appeared to be no official record of his detention. That’s why she feared he had been kidnapped.

In a YouTube video shared on May 16, Katie said she last spoke to Andrews on a FaceTime call while he was reportedly in a van. She claimed he seemed sad and said people were “coming back” for him. Katie also claimed his hands were tied and he was wearing a hood.

The UK Foreign Office has confirmed it is supporting the family of a British man in Dubai and remains in contact with local authorities about the case.

Katie had also recently said she would step back and leave it to officials to find Lee, but then released a song in honor of her missing husband on May 22. The song is a cover of Come here, originally released in 1988 by Brenda Russell. She said the lyrics reflected her situation and feelings.
