Perrie Edwards looks set to heal old wounds with former Little Mix bandmate Jesy Nelson.
Edwards quietly showed her support for Nelson this week after liking an emotional Instagram post in which Jesy opened up about years of struggles with body image and learning to embrace her postpartum body.
Nelson has not been in contact with her former bandmates, including Leigh-Ann Pinnock and Jade Thirlwall, since her decision to leave the girl group in 2020 – two years before the band split for good. However, it appears that time – and motherhood – is starting to heal old wounds for Nelson and Edwards, who also became mothers in 2021.
In the post, Jesy, 34, revealed she is finally proud of herself after “33 years of extreme dieting” and self-criticism.
Sharing black-and-white photos of her newborn twins, Ocean Jade and Story Monroe, the star wrote, “I never thought it would have taken having two beautiful baby girls that I could have potentially lost to make me realize how incredible my body really is.”
She added that even though her body has gone through some major changes, “it created the best gift that ever happened to me.”
Edwards’ simple gesture of liking the post comes shortly after she admitted the couple’s argument was like “losing a limb.”
Speak with Glamor Britain Last month, Perrie explained: “It’s about a friendship I once had that I don’t have anymore… I was with her every day. We lived in each other’s pockets.”
