Katy Perry’s new controversy puts Justin Trudeau in a tough spot

Katy Perry is facing controversy after Australian actress Ruby Rose accused her of sexual assault in a series of social media posts that were later deleted.

According to a new report, the allegations, denied by Perry’s representatives, have put her relationship with Justin Trudeau in a difficult spot.

An insider said Page six that the controversy could put him in an uncomfortable position because he has long spoken about supporting women’s rights.

“They’ve been having a blast in their relationship over the past few months. They’ve made no secret of the fact that they really love each other, but this is really the first challenge they’ve faced since getting together,” the insider said.

They added: “Justin was known as a pro-women Prime Minister. He had gender equality in his cabinet; he has been linked to these types of social issues, so this could put a small dent in their relationship.”

This comes after Rose made shocking claims about Perry while commenting on the singer’s reaction to Justin Bieber’s set at Coachella.

She claimed: “Katy Perry sexually assaulted me at Spice Market nightclub in Melbourne. Who cares what she thinks.”

“She saw me ‘resting’ on my best friend’s lap to avoid her and bent over, pulled her underwear aside and rubbed her disgusting f—– all over my face until my eyes opened and I projectile vomited on her.

“Afterwards I threw up on her, I told the story publicly, but changed it to a ‘funny drunk story’ because I didn’t know how else to handle it.

“Later, she agreed to help me get my US visa. So I kept it a secret. But I told you she wasn’t a good person.”
