Liam Payne’s first anniversary of his death has just passed and none of his former bandmates have posted anything in tribute to the late singer.
The Tears singer, who rose to fame in 2010 with pop band One Direction, died on October 16 last year after falling from the third-floor balcony of a Buenos Aires hotel.
His ex-bandmates Harry Styles, Zayn Malik, Niall Horan and Louis Tomlinson attended his funeral in Wolverhampton.
It seems like the boys are still not ready to accept that their brother is gone as they didn’t say anything on the first anniversary of his death.
However, Louis finally made a statement about dealing with grief two days after Liam’s anniversary.
The Two of us hitmaker had previously lost his mother to leukemia and a sister to an accidental overdose. Losing Liam was another great loss for him.
He said: “I naively thought that at this point, unfortunately, I would be a little more knowledgeable about grief than other people my age.”
Tomlinson told it with a heavy heart and watery eyes The independent that Payne’s death is something he will never truly accept.
‘I thought maybe that meant something, but it didn’t at all. It’s something I’ll never really accept. I don’t think so.’
Malik, 33, has reportedly signed a deal with Netflix for a new One Direction film. It is still not confirmed whether Styles and Horan will join them or not.
