Kendall Jenner is opening up about her relationship with her father, Caitlyn Jenner.
In the recent episode of The Kardashiansthe 29-year-old supermodel appeared alongside Caitlyn, 76, at a family gathering where conversation focused on this year’s Los Angeles wildfires.
Caitlyn assured everyone that her Malibu home was safe and said she planned to stay and defend it herself.
In a rare confessional, Kendall reflected on their dynamic, saying, “I have to compartmentalize my relationship with my dad in a way because I love her. She’s my dad. We have a good relationship. But sometimes I get frustrated with her about certain things because we just have completely different views on things.”
Despite occasional frustrations, Kendall said maintaining their bond remains of great importance to her.
“Other than that, I always want to include her,” Kendall added. “I know she doesn’t have much outside of her family and I think she gets lonely. You never want anyone to be sad, especially your dad and someone you love and care about.”
Caitlyn, who has been outspoken about her conservative political beliefs and unsuccessfully ran for governor of California in 2021, has not appeared on The Kardashians until now.
Her performance marked a meaningful reunion as Kris Jenner invited her ex to a farewell dinner at their Hidden Hills home, “El Dorado Meadow” – a home the former couple once shared during Keeping up with the Kardashians.
Kris, 69, acknowledged the emotional significance of the moment, saying in a confessional: “It’s only right that Caitlyn is here tonight too because she was actually part of all those amazing memories. It wasn’t just my house – it was our house.”
