Jelly Roll had a retail therapy session at a Louis Vuitton store.
The 40-year-old country star claimed on his Instagram Stories on Wednesday, November 5, that he was treated like a criminal at the Louis Vuitton store in Sydney.
“Hey man, the Louis Vuitton in Sydney just treated us like we came in to rob that place,” Jelly Roll said, laughing as he filmed himself outside the luxury boutique.
‘I have never been looked at as badly as a criminal. Listen, the last time I was considered a criminal that bad, I was a real criminal that was that bad.”
The Save me The singer, who performs across Australia, has long been open about his troubled past. Before Jelly Roll – born Jason Bradley DeFord – rose to fame, he was arrested about 40 times on drug-related charges. Due to his track record, he couldn’t even tour internationally until recently.
In an interview with Jon Bon Jovi for Interview magazine last year, Jelly thought about finally being able to perform abroad. “It’s funny, America finally agreed to let me leave and give me a passport, but some countries won’t let me come because of my crimes,” he said. “We’re working on that. I think it will work in my favor.”
Jelly Roll, who toured Europe with Post Malone earlier this year, has also spoken about his past regrets. “This is a grown man looking back on a 16-year-old kid who made the worst decision he could have made in his life,” he said. Billboard in 2023.
