Miles Teller wowed fans with a surprising new look for his upcoming role in the Michael Jackson biopic.
The Hollywood actor has taken on the role of Jackson’s longtime lawyer and manager, John Branca.
For the role, Teller completely changed his appearance, growing his hair to shoulder length and wearing facial prosthetics.
When a photo from the film began circulating online, fans were quick to react, as many believed he was playing Jackson himself.
One user joked that they had “tears in their ears” thinking Teller had been cast as the King of Pop, while another wrote: “Miles Teller definitely showed up to audition for white Michael Jackson.”
The light-hearted confusion spread across social media, with one fan asking: “Who put Miles in that wig?” and another suggests he should play rock legend Steve Perry instead.
The biopic, simply titled Michaelis directed by Antoine Fuqua, best known for Training day And The equalizer.
However, it stars Jackson’s real-life cousin, Jaafar Jackson, who started filming in 2023.
Originally scheduled for release last year, the film suffered several delays due to its long running time and editing changes, and is now set to hit theaters in April 2026.
According to insiders, the film explores Jackson’s life from his early days in the Jackson Five to his reign as one of the world’s biggest entertainers.
It will also highlight both his personal struggles and his legendary achievements, giving fans a new look at the man behind the global icon.
