Jessica Simpson has reunited with her ex-husband, Eric Johnson, to spend the Thanksgiving holiday together.
In a new interview with TMZ On November 28, the 45-year-old singer confirmed that Eric attended her family’s Thanksgiving celebrations, with whom she shares three children, Maxwell, 13, Ace, 12, and Birdie, 6.
“We were all at my mom’s yesterday,” Jessica told the publication.
When asked if Eric spent Thanksgiving with her, the Bread-crumbs hitmaker replied: “Of course that’s the father of my children.”
“Family first,” she added, revealing that “all their grandparents” were also at the Thanksgiving event.
Speaking about co-parenting with Eric, Jessica said: “No matter what, your child is half of the other person, and [you should] always respect what you say around them so they can always have a good perspective on it.”
“Unconditional love is important,” she added.
For those unfamiliar, Jessica and Eric called it quits in January after 10 years of marriage.
“Eric and I have been living apart and dealing with a painful situation in our marriage,” Jessica said We weekly at that moment.
“Our children come first, and we focus on what’s best for them. We are grateful for all the love and support that has come our way, and appreciate privacy as we work through this as a family,” she added.
