Rihanna has once again made history with her brilliant music career.
The 38-year-old is the first woman to reach 200 million RIAA certifications.
The “Higher” singer, 38, is in third place with 200.5 million copies.
This achievement comes despite the fact that she released her last album almost 10 years ago with 2016’s ANTI.
Speaking to Harper’s Bizarre Work in 2025, the mother of two said: “There’s no genre now. That’s why I waited. Every time I was like, ‘No, it’s not me. It’s not right. It doesn’t fit my growth. It doesn’t fit my evolution. I can’t do this. I can’t stand this. I can’t perform this on tour for a year.'”
Rihanna continued, “After a while I looked at it, and I thought, this long time away from music has to count towards the next thing everyone hears. It has to count. It has to matter. I have to show them the value of waiting. I can’t think of anything mediocre.”
