Madonna, the Queen of Pop, is officially returning to one of the most iconic eras of her career.
After months of speculation, Madonna finally announced Confessions II, the long-awaited follow-up to her 2005 hit album Confessions on a dance floor.
The project, due out on July 3, is co-produced with Stuart Price and is already sending fans into a frenzy.
The singer also dropped a short visual teaser and revealed the first single, One step away.
In the statement, Madonna said: “People think dance music is superficial, but they are completely wrong.”
He added: “The dance floor is not just a place, it is a threshold: a ritual space where movement replaces language.”
Additionally, Madonna stated, “We must dance, celebrate and pray with our bodies. These are things we have been doing for thousands of years – they are actually spiritual practices. The dance floor is a ritual space, after all. It is a place where you connect – with your wounds, with your vulnerability. Raven is an art. It is about pushing your boundaries and connecting with a community of like-minded people. Sound, light and vibration. Reshaping our perceptions. Drawing us into a trance-like state.”
“The repetition of the bass, we not only hear it, but we feel it. Our consciousness changes and ego and time disappear,” the iconic singer added.
It is pertinent to mention that it is original Confessions on a dance floor marked the first time Stuart Price produced Madonna’s record.
