Taylor Swift has a huge fan base known as ‘Swifties’, so when she says she’s ‘obsessed’ with The life of a showgirl, Her fans are expected to make the album go viral again.
Already at the top of the Billboard 200 for weeks, her latest commentary will fuel the album’s rise in the coming weeks.
As for her comments, they were addressed during her performance The Late Show with Stephen Colbert.
The presenter, who often asked the top five favorite songs of megastars such as Dolly Parton, Elton John, Paul Simon and Bruce Springsteen, also posed the question to the fourteen-time Grammy winner.
Taylor didn’t share the list outright; instead, she added that her rankings are “constantly changing” and that she would need “some time to get back to all five.”
“I think number one is ‘All Too Well’, the 10-minute version,” the pop icon continues. “I’m really obsessed with ‘The Life of a Showgirl,’ the whole album.”
Interestingly, the 35-year-old also lists an unexpected number, Mirror ball. This would come as a surprise to fans as, unlike her previous entries, the song is not among her most popular.
“I can’t really do any of the others, except I will say that somewhere in the list, I think, will be a song called ‘Mirrorball’, from the album ‘Folklore’.”
“You know, it came up the other day. A friend sent it to me, and she was talking about it, and I put it up, and then you asked me this question, so I said it,” she concludes.
