As an expectation for the Avengers: Doomsday the trailer was at a fever pitch and was reportedly leaking.
At least that’s how several Marvel fans believe after the footage, just over a minute long but grainy, shows the return of Steve Rogers, also known as Captain America.
His entry, meanwhile, appears to echo what insiders have been claiming on social media: the studio plans to release four trailers for the film – a first for the franchise – with each teaser, or up to three, showcasing the comic book’s old characters.
“Disney is sending four different trailers for the Marvel mega-movie to theaters. Each trailer will run for a week before switching to the next. So if you see Fire and Ash opening weekend, you get trailer one. If you go a week later, you get trailer two, and so on,” an insider previously shared. The Hollywood Reporter.
With Captain America returning in the first teaser, others might expect Thor and Doctor Doom, played by Robert Downey Jr.. Reports also claim that the fourth teaser may include a general trailer for the upcoming film.
Fans on social media are baffled by what some believe is a leak of the Avengers: Doomsday trailer.
“So he had a kid when he went back?” asks one user, as in the alleged clip Steve Rogers was seen holding a baby while standing next to Peggy Carter (Hayley Atwell).
Moreover, the Russo Brothers, who directed the upcoming film, previously shared a tease, which fans decoded, namely a photo showing a blurry black and white object.
Additionally, the directing brother duo recently spoke at the SDCC panel and said, “Being able to create stories and explore characters within the Marvel Universe fulfilled a lifelong dream of ours, and we discovered a powerful connection with audiences in every film we made.
Avengers: Doomsday will be released in theaters on December 18, 2026.
