Nick Reiner’s former yoga instructor Alanna Zabel has opened up about Rob Reiner and Michele Singer Reiner after their deaths.
Speak with People magazine, Alanna, who taught private yoga to Rob, Michele and their children, said the late couple were “incredibly passionate, all-in parents who did their best.” She noted that their deaths were “shocking.”
Additionally, the wellness expert revealed that Nick was “notorious” for making sessions with her mother difficult.
“We could never get through one yoga session without Nicky barging in and having an intense problem or meltdown, and it would really interrupt the flow of a yoga class,” she said.
After years of group lessons, Alanna was asked to teach Nick ‘privately’.
“What I started doing was to help him calm down and channel his energy,” she recalled.
Alanna talks about Nick’s childhood, calling it “a perfect storm… one of those things where no matter how hard they tried to contain it, get help, deal with it, it’s impossible for us to spread it.”
According to Alanna, Michele Singer was a “very passionate” mother. “She lived for those kids… She was just very friendly and kind,” she said.
This comes as Nick Reiner has been arrested for the murders of Rob Reiner and Michele Singer Reiner on December 14, 2025.
