Pierce Brosnan gets honest about Netflix buying Warner Bros. Discovery

Pierce Brosnan gives his opinion on Netflix’s acquisition of WB. Discovery

Pierce Brosnan, a well-known Hollywood star, is sounding the alarm about Netflix’s deal to acquire Warner Bros. Discovery, which he says is “troubling.”

“Netflix has given me work, but you have to be diligent and ask yourself: How do you navigate these waters without being crippled and embittered by them?” he says The times.

“Having one dominant force coloring what we see, how we see it and where we see it is a change that doesn’t feel right culturally,” the star notes.

But Dakota Johnson, on the other hand, seemed to have a different take on the deal. “People will always fight to be creative and tell stories – I just know that’s true. The way it works will evolve and change over time. It always has.”

“Hollywood has been in difficult situations since the beginning, so right now it’s just another version of a rebirth,” she previously said at the Red Sea Film Festival.

“And I see that, especially since I’ve been here at this incredible festival. It’s the collaboration, the excitement, the ambition behind filmmaking, the support of women filmmakers here, the stories being told here, the collaboration between countries and countries that is so beautiful and inspiring,” the actress added.

The Netflix deal appears to be going through after Warner Bros. Discovery rejected Paramount’s offer.
