Ice Spice says there has never been any real conflict between her and her co-worker, Latto.
The Barbie rapper’s clarification comes after their recent collaboration on Gyatt, which many fans took as a sign that all rumors of a feud were over.
According to Ice Spice, the so-called feud is largely created by outsiders and not based on real conflict.
Much of the speculation stemmed from lyrical overlap and timing. Latto’s verse further Gyatt contained lines that some listeners thought referred to Ice Spice’s 2024 song Think you’re the S- (fart)while Ice Spice’s own lyrics were interpreted as subtle responses to Latto’s music and collaborations earlier that year.
Social media activity and fan theories have further fueled the story.
The rumors grew because of who each artist works with. Ice Spice has collaborated with Nicki Minaj, while Latto has collaborated with Cardi B, both of whom have a long-standing feud.
Fans also reportedly speculated that Latto’s 2023 song contained a reference to Ice Spice.
However, Ice Spice has repeatedly denied any feud. Even in July 2024, she told Rolling Stone that there was no real problem between them and nothing to resolve.
