Kelly Clarkson’s eponymous daytime talk show is reportedly coming to an end.
Kelly has been through a lot during her hosting run and has taken breaks from the dirty before.
Sources now say that the host is finally in the process of quitting the show after this season.
One mole said the show “probably won’t go ahead.”
“Her show is a lot to put on, and when you look at the daytime television landscape, it’s not sustainable anymore,” they said.
Last year, Kelly took a long break from her hosting duties when her ex-husband, Brandon Blackstock, battled cancer and ultimately died from the disease. The singer shares children River Rose, 11, and Remington “Remy” Alexander, 9, with her late ex.
Rumors circulated during the extended break Today host Hoda Kotb was in talks to replace the singer. Even before that, insiders claimed that Kelly was exhausted from a contentious divorce and other personal challenges and wanted out of the demanding gig.
Despite continued reports that the singer wants to leave the show, another insider said, “People are jumping on the bandwagon. Nothing is finalized yet, and it’s still a long season.”
Kelly recently revealed on Night how she’s helping the kids cope with their father’s death, saying, “A lot has happened for our family lately, and so I’ve been letting my kids sleep with me quite a bit. So it’s my two dogs, my kids and me. It’s a lot.”
“It was really special though. The conversations you have during that time are kind of cute. So that’s probably my favorite part of the day,” she added.
