Jamie Lee Curtis has opened up about the deaths of her close friends Rob Reiner and Michele Reiner.
In a podcast, the Oscar-winning actress revealed that her close friends died on her daughter Annie’s birthday.
Visibly emotional Curtis recounted the events of December, saying: “Their son was born in December, and it was a week after Rob and Michele [died]and Rob and Michele are her godparents.”
She added: “They died on her birthday. My beautiful daughter, who loved them all like we all, managed to metabolize that sadness and grief… [and then] brought their son into this world a week later.”
The series of events is described as “living under life’s harshest conditions and living under life’s most beautiful, most perfect conditions.”
At the time of Rob Reiner and Michele Reiner’s deaths in December, Jamie Lee Curtis told People Magazine that she and her husband were “numb, saddened and shocked by the violent, tragic deaths of our dear friends.”
“Our ONLY focus and concern at this time is for their children and immediate families and we will provide whatever support we can to help them,” the actress stated at the time.
