The 42-year-old actor, who recently ended his legal battle with Blake, believes now is the right time to shift his focus to the romantic film’s second sequel.
“Justin finally feels like he can breathe again, after months of non-stop lawsuits, resistance and crisis management. Now he is focusing on rebuilding,” the insider said. Rob Sluiter.
“People really thought the franchise was dead,” the source continued, referring to the sexual harassment lawsuit Blake filed against Justin.
“The studios were nervous. Producers didn’t know if the sequel had become too toxic to touch,” the source added.
Now Justin believes “the audience is ready to move on.”
“He thinks the focus can finally return to the movie instead of the drama,” the tipster said.
The confidante went on to say that Justin is open to the idea of working with Blake again.
“Justin would work with Blake again if it would help save the franchise,” the source said.
“He’s not interested in revenge. He just wants to get back to making movies,” the insider added.
For those unfamiliar, the first sequel to It ends with us was released in theaters on August 9, 2024. Justin and Blake played the lead roles in the film.
