Nick Reiner was found miles from Brentwood home after parents’ murder


Nick Reiner was not at his parents’ home in Brentwood when their bodies were discovered and found hours later several miles away.

Authorities say the 32-year-old son of filmmaker Rob Reiner and his wife, Michele Reiner, left the family home after the killing and later found themselves near the University of Southern California.

ABC News reported that police found Nick in the Exposition Park area, close to the USC campus, about six hours after the bodies were discovered.

Los Angeles police confirmed that Nick was arrested in the Exposition Park area near USC on Sunday around 9:15 p.m. People reported.

Rob and Michele Reiner were found dead in their Brentwood home the same day around 3:40 p.m., police said.

Nick was taken into custody on suspicion of murder and is currently being held without bail at the Twin Towers Correctional Facility in Los Angeles.

Sources previously told the magazine that Nick also attended a holiday party hosted by Conan O’Brien with his parents the night before the murders, where he reportedly had a heated argument with his father.

Rob and Michele Reiner, who married in 1989, share three children, including Jake, Nick and Romy.

Nick has spoken publicly about his long struggle with addiction, telling the newspaper in 2016 that he went to rehab as a teenager and later became homeless as his substance abuse worsened.
