Pete Davidson is facing backlash for bizarre comments about fatherhood

Pete Davidson has sparked a new controversy after making unusual comments about fatherhood.

During his recent comedy show in Las Vegas, the 32-year-old comedian revealed that becoming a “girl dad” made it “harder” for him to watch X-rated videos.

The Saturday evening live alum added that he went to rehab to kick his drug addiction.

“This time I went to rehab. I thought, ‘I’m really going to do it so I can save some of the money I make and stop wasting the money on rehab,'” Pete said.

“I did family week, [which is] when you Zoom with your therapist and your family, and they tell you how hard it is for them to watch you use drugs,” he added.

However, Pete’s shocking comments about fatherhood unintentionally hurt his fans’ feelings.

“Hey, so that’s a really weird thing to say,” as one person wrote online.

“Hey, it’s not actually that, and you’re just a weird dumbass if you think that. It’s a joke about developing empathy for women after having a daughter, creep,” another commented.

For those unfamiliar, Pete welcomed his daughter, Scottie Rose Hewitt Davidson, on December 12, 2025, with his girlfriend, Elsie Hewitt. The couple reportedly started dating in early 2025.
