Blackpink’s rosé surprised fans with a rare look in her creative process after revealing the demo version of her hit Applicable.
The release came just when the number a stunning two billion streams reached Spotify, confirming his place in the K-pop history.
Rosé shared the demo that she called APT 1.0During an appearance on The Howard Stern Show.
In contrast to the final version that fans know, the early cut wore raw texts and a softer vocal approach, with references to Room 17 And late-night meetings.
The music icon admitted that in the past she asked fans to remove the demo, but now she feels that it represents a fair part of her journey as an artist.
Applicable. For the first time came out in October 2024 as the main single single from her debut Solo album Rosie. The song soon became the fastest K-pop number to cross a billion streams, later winning Song of the Year during the MTV Video Music Awards 2025.
With Grammy Buzz around it, the number does not show any signs of delay.
The single was co -written by Rosé, Bruno Mars, Amy Allen, Brody Brown and Philip Lawrence and it recorded Slim Toni Basil’s 1982 Anthem Mickey.
The video clip, co -directed by Mars and Daniel Ramos, also passed two billion views on YouTube.
Rosé’s performance, however, arrived at the same time that Blackpink reunited for their single Jump And wrapped the North -American and European legs of their deadline world tour.
For the Unververeded, Blackpink will continue with the tour through Asia later this year.
