Seth Meyers, together with other Late-Night hosts, has noted that the show of Jimmy Kimmel was suspended and defended his right to freedom of expression.
The 51-year-old Talkshow-Gastheer discussed the case in his last episode of Late Night with Seth MeyersOn Thursday, September 18.
Meyers himself has had a difficult relationship with the US president and has been convicted by him several times, including a recent statement after the ban.
He started to blame the segment by playing a playful way for one of his statements from the past against Donald Trump, and claimed that they are ‘clearly deep fakes’.
Speaking of Kimmel, he continued: “It is a privilege and an honor to call Jimmy Kimmel my friend, in the same way that it is a privilege and honor to do this show every night. I wake up every day and count my blessings that I live in a country that at least claims to appreciate the freedom of speech.”
Meyers then called ABCs to ban the show: “A crucial moment in our democracy.”
