Shannon Beador is heartbroken over the death of her beloved dog, Archie.
Thursday is the Real Housewives of Orange County star took to her Instagram account to announce that her golden retriever has passed away.
“Heaven has a new special angel,” Shannon wrote, alongside a photo of a dog smiling on the beach.
The mother-of-three added that Archie died on May 13, leaving her and her daughters ‘heartbroken’.
“For the past decade, Archie wasn’t just my dog – he was my constant comfort, protector, best friend and truly the real ‘man’ in my life,” she wrote.
“I’ve been through so many highs and lows, and through every good time and every sadness, Archie was always by my side and loved me the same way every day. He never judged me and always gave pure, loyal and unconditional love,” the TV personality continued.
“I’m grateful that so many fans had the opportunity to watch Archie grow up. Everyone who got to know him could see his gentle heart and sweet soul. He was so loved and he felt it all, even winning Best Performance at Bravocon,” Shannon added.
Ending the emotional note, the TV star wrote: ‘I keep thinking he’s just taking a nap but Archie is now a very special angel in heaven and swims, runs and plays catch with no more pain. The girls and I are so blessed to have spent 10 years with the most incredible companion anyone could ask for.”
Last week, Shannon announced that Archie had been diagnosed with brain cancer.
