James van der Beek may have the Dawson’s Creek Reunion personally, but he still managed to make a special appearance.
The actor, 48, revealed that he was put aside by “two gastric viruses” and could not attend Monday’s event in the Richard Rodgers Theater in New York City.
But fans were treated to a surprising pre -recorded video of the beloved leading man of the show.
“I can’t believe I’m not there,” Van der Beek told the audience. “I can’t believe that I don’t get my … beautiful cast personally personally.” He shared how much the night meant for him and said he ‘looked forward to [it] For months and months. “
Of a brown jacket, white t-shirt and checkered hat, thanked Van der Beek: “De Cast [and] the crew [and] Everyone who does something and has been so generous. His wife Kimberly and their six children joined co-stars Katie Holmes, Joshua Jackson and Michelle Williams on stage, with two of his daughters who even helped to sing the iconic theme song.
Van der Beek was diagnosed with cancer in August 2023 and spoke for the first time more than a year later about his battle publicly.
He also thought about the lessons he learned from ‘the most difficult year of [his] Life ”while marking his 48th birthday in March of this year.
